Uncommonly Large for a folding knife, the unusual Blade Profile comes from a tracing I made of a wing-tip feather from a Hawk. I found the Feather while walking in the Spring Hills of Watsonville, California. Forgive me for not having a photo of the feather itself, alas,
for it has been lost.

The Fourth Knife of my apprenticeship to KnifeMaker, Larry Detloff of Santa Cruz, California.

Blade length: 5.25"
Overall Length (open): 11.75"

Damascus folded by the Smith, Ferguson.

Blade: Non-stainless damascus
Bolsters: 440c stainless steel
Liners: titanium
Scale: Ebony

I'm planning to head out for California sometime in the next year or so, we should have coffee whenever I do.

Thanks! I try to create things that didn't exist yet.
The blade shape comes from a wingtip feather I traced.

I like the design very much, but feel you should have done the handle in damascus as well or perhaps some fine engraveing so it matches the detail level of the fine steel. Right now it looks like a conflict between new and old. But over all I really do like it.:)

Thanks for the input:)

I admit, the bolsters would certainly support some engraving! Maybe for the next one.
